NolaWaterMeter.Com Jewelry by Mark Garcie

Mark Garcie has been a metalsmith for over 20 years and has worked and studied with some of the top metal artists in the country.

In 1993, to deter the theft of many of the popular sewerage covers in the city, Mark was the first artist to use the iconic New Orleans water meter image in a line of sterling silver and bronze jewelry- charms, earrings, cuff links, bracelets, necklaces and key chains.

After Katrina Mark designed another series of New Orleans themed jewelry simply titled ‘NOLA’, inspired by Robert Indiana, to promote how much love he and every citizen of New Orleans feels for the city.

He also creates jewelry that's influenced by medieval and gothic style combined with the elegance and decadence of New Orleans, incorporating sterling silver and bronze cast pieces, steel, brass, pearls, stones and found objects. Everything is handwrought  by Mark in his 9th ward studio.

Mark also has his work shown in several galleries, museums and boutiques in New Orleans.
